Making Health Happen

This presentation will include key findings from Nevada Public Health Training Center’s Nevada Public Health Workforce Health Equity Needs Assessment. Through data analysis and interpretation, this presentation will serve as a platform to share the identified health inequities faced within health organizations statewide, specifically at the clinical/organizational and individual levels. In addition to the dissemination of findings, best practices for resource needs, related training, and strategic planning to improve health equity in the workforce will be discussed. This presentation aims to support efforts for every Nevadan to have a fair and just opportunity to be as healthy as possible.

The Health Equity Webinar Series is a free online webinar series designed to showcase dynamic work being accomplished to enhance health equity opportunities. This series discusses different innovative implementations, strategies, best practices, success stories, and experiences impacting health equity in communities served with public health professionals around the nation. This Health Equity Webinar course contains 5 modules: 

Health Equity Webinars are hosted live on the third Friday of each month at 10am PST.   

To join the live session, please enroll in the course before 10am PST on the day of the webinar. All Health Equity sessions are recorded. If you enroll after the live webinar session has ended, the course will contain a video recording of the live session you can watch instead. Please note, it may take up to one month for the recording to become available.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completing this webinar, participants will be able to 

1. Identify demographic composition of the survey respondents
2. Understand health equity efforts at the organizational/community level
3. Understand health equity efforts at the individual level and individual experiences within the workplace
4. Identify action plan recommendations for addressing priority areas
