Ending the HIV Epidemic through a Health Equity Lens

Webinar Information

Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) is a national initiative launched in 2019 that aims to reduce new HIV infections by 75% by 2025 and 90% by 2030. Despite the recent advances in testing, treatment, and prevention, communities of color continue to be impacted significantly by HIV. Structure barriers such as poverty, stigma, and systemic racism have contributed to HIV inequalities. The Office of Infectious Disease HIV/AIDS Policy (OIDP) has implemented strategies to end the HIV epidemic through a health equality lens. Community engagement efforts and listening sessions focused on marginalized communities of color have informed national federal strategies aimed at addressing systemic barriers impacting health inequalities. This webinar will highlight national approaches for ending HIV and recommendations to address HIV inequalities.
