HEWS July 2022: Health Inequities among Older Adults
Webinar Series
Webinar Information:
Live Webinar on July 15, 2022 at 10 am PST. Recording to follow.
Older adults are especially vulnerable to health issues including chronic disease, falls, and mental health concerns. Issues such as these are further influenced by social determinants such as income, education, neighborhood environment, geographic location, and so on. Older adults are particularly impacted by these factors, as they have often spent a lifetime coping with them. This presentation describes how Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) impact older adults specifically, the inequities that exist within the older population, as well as work being done at the Sanford Center for Aging to address them.
