Larson Institute
The Trudy Larson MD Institute for Health Impact and Equity at the University of Nevada, Reno aims to foster community-engaged research, training, capacity building, and workforce development initiatives that measure impact and elevate the health status of diverse populations.
Nevada Public Health Training Center
The NVPHTC amplifies the public health workforce through innovative research and skill-based education. By implementing a variety of training opportunities and prioritizing needs of the public health workforce, the NVPHTC continues to address gaps and barriers within public health systems.
Nevada Public Heath Institute
The Nevada Public Health Institute aims to guide and support the leadership of health professionals in Nevada to strengthen the field of public health.
Western Region Public Health Training Center
The Western Region Public Health Training Center (WRPHTC) is one of ten Regional Public Health Training Centers (RPHTCs) funded by the Health Resources & Services Administration to support the public health workforce. The WRPHTC is located in HRSA Region 9, which includes Arizona, California, Nevada, Hawaii and US Associated Pacific Islands.
Association of Accredited Public Health Programs
The Association of Accredited Public Health Programs (AAPHP) supports, represents, and advances current and emerging accredited public health programs in preparing a competent public health workforce.
School of Public Health
The School of Public Health is for anyone who is passionate about pursuing a career in the health industry. Recognizing health requires a multi-faceted approach, the School of Public Health emphasizes multiple perspectives in its curriculum, including the emotional, spiritual, environmental and physical. The School offers a minor, an undergraduate degree, a master's degree, a Ph.D., as well as dual degree programs with the Orvis School of Nursing and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Graduates from the School of Public Health are prepared to promote and protect the health of communities nearby and around the world.
